Our interior black bear hunting season runs from May 1st to June 15th, and from September 1st to the 10th of October.
Hunting black bears in our interior concession is a less expensive alternative to our coastal operation. On average, these bears will square 6 to 6 1/2 feet with skulls ranging in size from 18 to 20 inches. Hide quality is excellent during both spring and fall hunting seasons and color phase bears are commonly harvested. Black bear populations are high with excellent hunter success rates.
Hunts are conducted using 4x4 vehicles, hounds and ATV's to access the many clear cuts and natural meadows where bears feed.
Fall hunts combine well with trophy mule deer and the opportunity to harvest a big, heavy fish eating bear exists during peak salmon run years.
